Where does Bee Pollen come from?

When bees forage and fly between flowers, the pollen from the flowers sticks to the hairs on their bodies. Some of this collected pollen is rubbed off onto the next flower the bee visits, which pollinates the flower. The bee uses its legs to brush the rest of the pollen from their body to their hind legs. When they have collected enough pollen, they bring it back to the hive and use it to nourish the larvae. Bee hives often have excess pollen that beekeepers can harvest, similar to honey.

Pollen is delicately harvested without harming the bees or their hive. Bee pollen is a golden gift from nature, so consume mindfully and with gratitude for these magnificent creatures!

Our Bee Pollen comes in a 4 oz glass jar with a metal lid. If you intend to store bee pollen for more than a few weeks after purchase, refrigeration is recommended.
